The oldest section of this Gettyburg inn was constructed in 1812 on the Bushman Farm. The home was built as a tenant farmer's house and was later occupied by the son of George Bushman. During the Battle of Gettysburg, the Bushman Farm was an Army of the Potomac field hospital.
